Photoshop Tutorial – Dark Vignette

I’ve been wanting to try something like this for a while.  who knows, maybe teaching is what I was meant to do.  LOL!  Anyway, I wrote a tutorial on how I create a vignette using Photoshop CS5.  Now I know it’s not the best, but I thought I would give it a shot.

Also, at the bottom of the post is a link where you can download the Photoshop Action I created to go along with this.  I know it works on my computer, but have not tried it out anywhere else.  All of my instructions are geared toward a PC based system, so just insert the appropriate Mac words and you should be fine.  You know what I mean, “command” for “control” and such.

Roll your mouse over the shot above to see a “before” and an “after” version!

Feel free to use the tutorial and try it out on your photos.  If you have any questions, just give me a shout.  If you would like to run this effect as an action for Photoshop, you may download it from the link below:

Scott’s Vignette Effect

I’m also in the process of documenting my “workflow” for my HDR photos, so stay tuned for that one!
